Beginning with a lively, adventurous theme, the piece mirrors the excitement of setting sail. As the vastness of the ocean sets in, the music shifts to a more introspective, uncertain mood. A turbulent storm follows, portrayed through a dramatic canon-like sequence, before giving way to a triumphant, celebratory return. Awarded 3rd place at the International Clarinet Association's Clariedescope Competition, this melodic work offers performers a journey of emotion and expression.
